Mendips Raceway – 2026 End-of-Season Review

A season of racing, championships and unforgettable memories

As the 2026 season at Mendips Raceway comes to a close, it is time to look back on another action-packed year of stock car racing, banger racing and entertainment on the Mendip Hills.

From the opening meetings in March through to the championship weekends in September, drivers across the various formulas have battled for race wins, championship honours and valuable points. There have been memorable performances, emerging young talents, experienced campaigners showing their class and plenty of close racing along the way.

With Halloween Havoc abandoned, this review covers the completed season up to the September meetings.

BriSCA Formula Two Stock Cars

The BriSCA F2 Stock Cars once again provided plenty of competitive racing throughout the season, with drivers battling hard across the heats, finals and Grand Nationals.

The championship campaign featured a mixture of established names and drivers looking to make their mark at Mendips. Josh Hamstead, Nathan Maidment, Tom Bennett and Jason Ward all featured prominently in the points standings, while the racing throughout the summer provided plenty of opportunities for drivers to demonstrate their pace and consistency.

Josh Weare (#736) finished the season as the Mendips Raceway points champion, following a strong campaign that rewarded his performances across the meetings. His achievement was particularly well deserved after a season of hard work and consistent results.

The August Bank Holiday meeting provided another memorable chapter in the F2 season. Richard Andrews (#605) won the Whites and Yellows Championship, while Jimi Marshall (#8) took the prestigious Marion Bennett Trophy. Nathan Maidment (#935) also finished the meeting in style with a Grand National victory.
