
It was another dry and hot afternoon for Filo’s Crashmania meeting for charity, which included tyre tossing and the 1st Race was a Ladies Charity Special Rods race in which 6 Ladies took part in. In which 66 Rebecca Horlock and 254 went round the outside of the pole sitter for 1st and 2nd, R. Horlock went on to take the win by some margin.
17 cars came out for the 1st Heat 700 Les Brice took a flag to flag victory, 29 Stuart Simpson got turned around on the turnstile bend causing chaos and the race had to be stopped and Simpson and 429 Tristen Heathcote retired, Lbrice led the restart from 66 Ben Bristow, and 303 Jason Oliver made it up from 11th on the grid to 5th place then on the last lap Oliver tried going round the outside of 278 Andy Bressington but got boxed in so had to settle for 5th. L.Brice took the win from B.Bristow, then 270 Alex Bresssington.
16 cars came out for the 2nd Heat which was a reverse grid from the 1st Heat in which 60 Tom Bristow took a flag to flag victory, T.Bristow took the early lead and Heathcote ended up facing the wrong way leading to a stoppage. T.Bristow led the restart, and with 2 laps left Oliver nipped up the inside of 445 Nik Loader to take 5th, T.Bristow went on to take the win from 254 Nigel Manaton, then 720 Dan Latimer
T.Bristow took the early lead from Manaton, then Oliver. Then Heathcote spun causing chaos, and Manaton got accidently squeezed to the wall and picked up damage, T.Bristow led the re-start, and Manaton dropped down the order, T.Bristow went on to win, from Oliver then, L.Brice.
14 cars came out for the Grand National 46 Angie Harris took the early lead from 2nd on the grid then 118 Ian Truman took the lead, then 386 Bobby Stilgoegot caught in a tangle and lost a wheel, Truman led the re-start and went on to take the win, from, Andy Bressington, then Latimer.
The F2 was running an all in format and 20 cars came out for a lively 1st Heat 976 Dan Kent punted 710 Louie Stuckey wide to take the early lead, then a few other cars crashed, leading to a stoppage, 16 cars made the complete re-start, and Kent took the lead, then 53 Phillip Mann and 509 Jordan Butcher both had an argument with the wall, then 935 Nathan Maidment took the lead of Kent, then 128 Jake Ralfs, passed Kent for 2nd then Kent re-took the position. 213 Tom Bennett ended up facing the wrong way, and quickly turned around and re-joined, Maidment took the win from, 569 Adam Langridge, then 560 Luke Wrench.
19 cars came out for the 2nd heat, 262 Charlie Cocks took the early lead and led for a while before 405 Josh Hamstead took up the running further back there was a big scrap amongst the Yellow and Blue tops, and 3 Yellow tops ended up arguing with the wall on different occasions, then Maidment took the lead and went on to win from, Hamstead, then 979 Paul Moss.
18 cars came out for the Final, Hamstead took the early lead, then Kent, 605 Richard Andrews, and 667 Tommy Farrell had a coming together and Farrell managed to carry on, leading to a stoppage, Hamstead led the re-start, from Maidment, then Cocks, then Maidment took the lead, then Cocks got fired towards the wall and carried on, then with 4 to go someone dropped some fluid on the pit bend an most of the pack crashed into the wall, Wrench and Stoneman was in 4th and 5th, but was to badly damaged to take the re-start, only 10 cars made the re-start led by Maidment, Hamstead, then Bennett, Maidment went on tom take the win, and Bennett did a last Bender on Hamstead to take 2nd, and Hamstead came home in 3rd, from 736 Josh Weare.
13 cars came out for the Grand National, Cocks took the early lead and led till 5 laps left when Hamstead took the lead, and Maidment retired, then Cock ended up in the wall after a tangle with another car, Hamstead took the win from Langridge, then Moss.
18 cars came out for the 1st heat with ½ the cars in each Heat, there was a pile up on the 1st bend and 956 Harry Thompson ended up on his roof, Then 6 Try Jones punted 784 Henry Murray wide to take the lead then Murray repaid the compliment to retake the lead, Murray then spun another car on his way to take victory, Jones came home 2nd, with only 8 cars making the distance!!
17 cars came out for the 2nd Heat there was some action on the turnstile bend and 923 Alex Cox was on the receiving end of a big T-Bone, 31 Liam Shipway led most of the race and on the last lap 162 Harry Ellacott knocked Shipway wide to take the lead then on to win from Shipway.
32 cars came out for an action packed final in which only 10 cars made the distance, Ellacott took the win from, Shipway, then 198 Owen Nichol.
21 cars came out for the Allcomers race and only 8 made the distance, and there was a stoppage as amongst the action someone lost a wheel, 743 Jake Bond took the win from Ellacott, then Nichol
