Filo’s CRASHMANIA comes up again on July 25th. There are three major fundraising efforts under way. First of all the Top Tin Tottie are organising a Grand Raffle, with at least three prizes, the star prize being a Ford Mondeo, very kindly donated by R J King metal recyclers of Farrington Gurney.

With mid-summer here, it does not always mean waiting for the sun to rise at Stonehenge, or getting on down to the beats near Glastonbury, but another weekend that has started to carve its way in oval racings yearly tradition, and that is our Summer weekend at Mendips Raceway where there will be something for everyone in the many forms of oval racing.

Impact Squad Victory

Mendips Raceway’s Impact Squad won the 2010 Nation Bangers Team Championship at Hednesford, Cannock raceway on Sunday June 13th. Although the entries were well down on previous years, the six man team comprising Steve Griffin(44) James Charles (7), Jon Quinn(242), Dean Quinn (27), Rob Bevan (49) and Kenny Dalton (458) won an emphatic victory over two strong sides of Scrapyard Screamers.
